Peace resulted from Gritti eventually allying Venice with France, though he was later to engage in war with the Ottomans after they attacked the Venetian-held island of Corfu in 1537. Gritti died one year later. He is buried in the church of San Francesco della Vigna in Venice.<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>",
