Details for Caecilius Metellus Pius, Q. - Roman Republican moneyer

Republican moneyer who served under Sulla as a commander in the fight against Carrinas, Norbanus, and Carbo. Sulla made him Pontifex Maximus and in 80, Metellus Pius was elected Consul. He won a triumph for his efforts in Hispania, and died around 63 BC.
