Details for Domitius Ahenobarbus, Cn. - Roman Republican moneyer

A partisan of Brutus and Cassius, following Julius Caesar's assassination. After fighting the Second Triumvirate at sea, he reconciled with Mark Antony, who made Ahenobarbus governor of Bithynia. He supported Antony until he grew disgusted with the latter's liaison with Cleopatra and transferred his allegiance to Octavian just before the battle of Actium. He died shortly thereafter. He issued coins as moneyer in 41 BC.
