The Unexploded Ordnance Guide for the Marine Antiquities Scheme (MAS) was produced in collaboration with 6 Alpha Associates Limited, an independent risk management consultancy practice. This guide provides advice to MAS users regarding the hazards associated with unexploded ordnance and the actions to take on finding a UXO.

Ordnance and munitions provide important evidence of our past and help us understand historical naval and aerial warfare and may be indicators of shipwrecks or aircraft wrecks.
