These terms are from the FISH Archaeological Objects Thesaurus (Forum on Information Standards in Heritage - FISH).

ROSARY A string of beads used to aid the memory in reciting a set of devotions. Preferred term 96058 -
ROSE BORDER A long bed containing rose plants. Preferred term 93172 -
ROSE GARDEN A garden, often geometrical in layout, or area for the cultivation of roses. Preferred term 82820 -
ROSE WINDOW A circular window containing tracery. Preferred term 138183 -
ROSETTE A circular stylised ornament, essentially a patera with floral enrichment, associated with classical architecture and occurring on the soffits of coffers, and as the fleuron of the Corinthian abacus. Preferred term 138184 -
ROSIN An amber like substance derived from pine or turpentine. Preferred term 85370 -
ROSTRAL COLUMN A column set on a pedestal and decorated with the bows of warships to celebrate naval victories. Originally a Roman form, it was revived in 17th and 18th century decoration. Preferred term 93173 -
ROSTRUM A raised platform or stage for public speaking or conducting an orchestra. Also a platform for supporting cameras during filming. Preferred term 139771 -
ROTARY KEY A lever lock key. Preferred term 99626 -
ROTARY KILN A kiln in which stone is burnt as it falls through a heated and slightly inclined steel tube. Preferred term 93174 -
ROTARY QUERN A quern where one stone is rotated on another to grind grain. Preferred term 96962 -
ROTATIVE BEAM ENGINE An engine in which the oscillating motion of the beam is translated via gearing to a rotative motion. Preferred term 93175 -

ROTATIVE STEAM ENGINE A steam engine which produces rotary motion. Preferred term 138186 -
ROTOR TEST TOWER A purpose built tower used for the testing of helicopter rotor blades. Preferred term 146386 -
ROTUNDA An isolated building, circular in plan, generally consisting of one apartment with a domed roof, eg. Mausoleum at Castle Howard, Yorkshire. Preferred term 69041 -
ROUGHOUT An intially worked object, prepared to be made into a final product. Preferred term 97453 -
ROUND A small, Iron Age/Romano-British enclosed settlement found in South West England. Preferred term 68865 -
Round Arch Bridge Narrow term 94193 -
ROUND BARROW Hemispherical mound surrounded by a ditch (or occasionally two or more concentric ditches), often accompanied by an external (or occasionally internal) bank. Mound and ditch may sometimes be separated by a berm. Use specific type where known. Preferred term 70010 -

ROUND CAIRN A roughly hemispherical mound constructed primarily of stones, normally containing or covering one or more human burials. The mound may be surrounded and partly retained by a low stone kerb. Preferred term 70050 -
ROUND HOUSE (DOMESTIC) Circular structure, normally indicated by one or more rings of post holes and/or a circular gulley, and usually interpreted as being of domestic function. Preferred term 94036 -

ROUNDABOUT A circular construction at the intersection of two or more roads to aid the passage of vehicles from one road to another. Preferred term 142048 -
ROUNDED BOWL A bowl with convex body walls. Preferred term 148351 -
