TILE BURIAL An inhumation, usually Roman, which has been covered by tiles to form a tent-like structure over the body; the apex is covered by ridge tiles. Preferred term 70037 -
TILE HANGING A vertical cladding consisting of tiles hung in overlapping rows. Preferred term 138342 -
TILE KILN A structure in which pottery tiles were baked. Preferred term 69078 -
TILE WORKS A site used for all the processes associated with the manufacture of roof, floor or decorative tiles. Preferred term 69079 -

TIMBER CIRCLE Approximately circular or oval setting of spaced post holes indicating the former presence of a free-standing arrangement of upright timber posts. Often regarded as a wooden equivalent of the better known stone circles. Preferred term 70198 -
