TREE CATHEDRAL Trees, hedges and shrubs planted in the form of a medieval cathedral sometimes used as a memorial. Preferred term 170006 -

TREE CLUMP A group of trees planted as part of a designed landscape. Preferred term 139026 -
TREE ENCLOSURE RING A circular bank in which trees have been planted for ornamental purposes or to create an enclosure. May exist purely as a bank which has been formed over the stumps of the trees which had been planted to form the enclosure. Preferred term 69044 -
TREE HOUSE Ornamental garden building constructed within the branches of trees. Preferred term 93637 -
TREE MOUND An earthen mound, usually within an ornamental garden, on which a tree was planted. Preferred term 69045 -
TREE RING Trees planted in an ornamental circle. For earthwork surrounding trees use TREE ENCLOSURE RING. Preferred term 69046 -

TREE THROW A bowl-shaped cavity or depression created in the subsoil by the long term presence and growth of tree roots or when a large tree is blown over or has its stump pulled out. Preferred term 146432 -
TREE TRUNK COFFIN A prehistoric coffin made out of a hollow tree trunk. Preferred term 70076 -
TREFOIL PLAN A plan featuring three foils or lobes radiating outwards from a central point. Preferred term 138361 -
TREFOIL WINDOW A window in the form of a three-leafed clover. Preferred term 138362 -
TRELLIS A framework used as a support upon which fruit-trees or climbing plants are trained. Preferred term 93639 -
TRENAIL A wooden cylinder or dowel used for pinning planks or timbers together. Preferred term 96317 -
TRENCH An excavation used as a means of concealment, protection or both. Preferred term 68917 -
TRENCHED PURLIN A purlin that sits in a trench cut in the back of a principal rafter. Preferred term 138363 -
TRENCHER A shallow dish or plate used to serve main meals off or to serve sweetmeats, these usually being painted with devices and riddles. Preferred term 97429 -

TRIANGULATION PILLAR A purpose-built triangulation pillar used for the metrical survey of Britain carried out by the Ordnance Survey. Preferred term 93640 -
