These terms are from the FISH Archaeological Objects Thesaurus (Forum on Information Standards in Heritage - FISH).

UNASSIGNED This is the top term for the class. This class includes terms with very broad definitions which could be assigned to three or more classes. See UNASSIGNED Class List for narrow terms. Preferred term 143259 -
UNASSIGNED Sites, buildings, structures, features & areas of land, both natural & man-made, which cannot be assigned to a particular class (for example, railings). Preferred term 70306 -

UNDERBRIDGE A bridge crossing under railway property. Preferred term 164116 -
UNDERCROFT A vault or crypt under a church or chapel. Use wider site type where known. Preferred term 70344 -
UNDERCROFT An underground, or partially underground, vault or crypt beneath a church or other building. Preferred term 138385 -
UNDERGROUND CAR PARK A car park situated beneath the surface of the ground. Preferred term 93672 -
UNDERGROUND GOVERNMENT HEADQUARTERS A secure, bomb-proof, undergound complex designed to be used by the government in the event of a national emergency such as nuclear war. Usually equipped with communications equipment, emergency rations and water and air filtering plants. Preferred term 140769 -
UNDERGROUND HOSPITAL A hospital which has been built either wholly, or partially, underground in order to protect it from attacks by enemy aircraft. Preferred term 140770 -
UNDERGROUND MILITARY HEADQUARTERS An underground bomb-proof structure used as a command centre for military operations. Preferred term 87796 -
UNDERGROUND MONITORING POST A small underground chamber from where it was intended to monitor radioactive fallout in the event of nuclear attack. The majority were built between 1956 and 1964, although construction continued into the early 1970s. Preferred term 100217 -
