VILLA A term for a type of house, with varying definitions according to period. Roman villas were high-status and usually associated with a rural estate, whereas Georgian and later period villas were often semi-detached, town houses. Preferred term 68653 -

VILLAGE GREEN An area of common grassland in a village used for grazing cattle, recreational purposes, etc. Preferred term 70425 -
VILLAGE HALL A hall in a village used for meetings and other functions. Preferred term 68756 -
